Why it matters
Most attacks on small businesses aren't sophisticated: a fake invoice from “your” email, an expired domain, an outdated plugin. These are the gaps we find, and most are quick to fix.

Common questions
Is it really free?
Yes. The check, your grade and the emailed report cost nothing, and there is no login or credit card. Elevate IT Solutions runs it, and if you would like help fixing what we find you can ask, but you are under no obligation.
Will the check affect or slow down my website?
No. We visit up to 25 of your public pages the way an ordinary visitor would, at most 2 at a time and for no more than 60 seconds, and we honour your robots.txt. We never log in, never submit forms and never try to break in.
What do you look at?
Only public information: the same things any web browser or email server can see. That is your domain's email and DNS records, your website's certificate and public pages, your domain registration and whether look-alike versions of your domain are registered. The How the Free Security Check Works page lists every request.
What is SPF / DMARC and why does it matter?
SPF and DMARC are public email records that say who may send email from your domain, and what receivers should do with messages that fail the check. Without them it is easier for someone to send a fake invoice that appears to come from you. Both are usually quick to set up with your email or domain provider.
What happens after I get my grade?
Your grade appears on screen in about 10 seconds. If you leave your email address, we send the full report there, usually within a few minutes. Someone from Elevate may reach out to talk through your results. Security tips are sent only if you tick that box, and you can unsubscribe anytime.
Do I need to be technical to fix things?
No. The report is simple to understand: what each finding is, what it could mean for your business, and a simple fix. Many fixes are a quick change at your domain or email provider. If you would rather not do it yourself, Elevate IT Solutions can help.
